Founded in 1954, Tectubi Raccordi was the first Italian manufacturer of steel buttweld pipe fittings and today remains the world-leading manufacturer for all types of buttweld fittings to be used in nuclear power plants, thermal power stations, chemical refineries, LNG plants, oil, gas and water pipeline transmission systems, offshore platforms, fertiliser plants, atomic power plants, petrochemical plants. It is the top supplier of superpipes for nuclear power station main steam.

 Since 2009 Tectubi Raccordi has shared an important international award with the other companies of the Group. Mr. Valter Alberici, President of Allied Group, was honoured with the prestigious Ernst & Young Entrepreneurial Excellence Award, receiving the title of Italian Entrepreneur of the Year - Finance Section "for having created a group able to assert itself on an international level in highly technological sectors, to the extent that it is the only manufacturer in Europe, and among the few worldwide, of some of the most delicate components which operate within nuclear reactors".
A wide range of buttweld fittings is produced in these plants:
- Podenzano: seamless and welded elbows, tees, reducers, caps and special products up to 120".
- Castel San Giovanni: seamless and welded mandrel elbows up to 56" and fittings up to 120".
- Calendasco: seamless and welded elbows produced by cold forming system up to 16" in stainless steel and special alloys.
- Carbonara Scrivia: seamless and welded large-radius bends produced by cold (from 2" to 60") and induction (from 6" to 56") bending.
In addition, two new plants in Castel San Giovanni (Piacenza, Italy) and in Tianjin (China) will soon open, increasing significantly the production capacity.
The Italian plants are very well positioned for both sea and air shipments (Genoa is 120 km and Milan is 60 km) and the area is well serviced by main roads and rail tracks.
